Puppy Play Date (Japan version)

Okay, so, I spent much more of the day out and about than I had originally planned, but that's okay because I'm in Japan.

First of all, I went to the station to give Wesley his stuff I took home with me on Friday.  While we were there, we went to Tsutaya so I could look for Kalafina's new CD.  I don't know if you've heard, but as of yesterday I am ALL ABOUT Kalafina.  They are wonderful ladies.

Anyway, this:

I am almost 99% certain that no one in Tsurugashima has seen an episode of Bewitched.  I am even more certain that no one here will get this reference at all, and that's probably why it's on the sign.  Come on, Japan, leave the copyright infringement to China.

So after I got back, some family friends came over with their new puppy.  Her name is Sumomo and we spent about an hour doing puppy stuff with her, such as:

holding her and talking about her feet,

glamour shots,

trying to get her to walk around,

and taking pictures of her sleeping.

Soon after, the neighbors from the ballet school across the street came over with THEIR puppy.  His name is Kicchi and he's afraid of everything.  He also probably weighs less than a pound.

He did like to jump at faces, though.

After the puppies went home, we went to a very Japanese ramen shop and I had this for lunch.  I was very pleased.

This is a bakery where we bought rolls or something.  Not pictured: the girls behind the counter that made me want to eat lots of bread.

Here's my host dad in the ice cream section of the bakery, which is open to the outside.  I kind of enjoyed it.

However, this ice cream that I had is actually from a convenience store nearby.  Here, convenience stores are actually convenient, and stepping into one is not nerve-wracking in the least.

My host parents wanted to go to Book-Off again.  This happened.  I'm so, so sorry, my wallet.  I'm sure you understand, even if you don't have ears with which to enjoy this.
