Phone and Surprise

Today, several things happened. I first got up around 7 to see the solar eclipse, just because that's kind of neat.  Then I went back to sleep. I got back up at around 10 with the intention of straightening my hair and heading off to school to visit with people, but instead I got delayed by a flat tire on my bike.  I got there after everyone's lunch was already over, so Wesley and I just went to Kawagoe so I could get a phone finally.  Also we did other stuff there, like stare at the arcade games and look around the claw machines for anything that might be good to put on our phones. Nothing was found, so we'll probably end up finding stuff on our Akihabara trip later this week.

Once we got back from Kawagoe, we went back to school and hung around with Jun, Nagatomo, and Toshinori.  I also had a nice conversation with Kayo about how Atlanta trains are terrible and don't take you anywhere, and then she asked me whether or not adults go to Disney World in America.  I don't think you guys understand how much Japanese girls love Disney World, going to Disney World, and the idea of Disney World in general.

So anyway, when everyone left, I rode my bike home.  While passing through the park, a bird crashed into my face.  The bird was okay, because it didn't even stop flying after it hit me, but I have no idea how it didn't see me there.  It wasn't even dark.  He just wasn't paying attention.  That's the first time I've ever even known that to happen.

So anyway, here are the things I got today.  On the left is Jumping Flash, an old Playstation game that my Cleveland cousins may remember, and in the middle is the last volume of 3x3 Eyes, the best shonen-ish seinen manga ever.  Below that is a Kumamon keychain (Kumamon is the mascot of Kumamoto prefecture) that I won in a claw machine.  Usually those things are impossible, but I had such a good feeling about this one that I could BEARly hold myself back.  Kumamon's goal is to find fun and surprise (not plural, apparently) wherever he goes as he teaches people about Kumamoto.  His permanently-startled facial expression will never cease to be hilarious.

Also there's my phone.  The phone cost about $90, and the rest cost about $3 combined.  Good stuff.
