Bamboocopters

Today was another normal school day.  Normal classes, normal lunch, normal everything.  It was, however, tremendously hot, and I spent the entire day feeling sweaty even when I wasn't.  For whatever reason, though, my Japanese friends were all more energetic than usual, so good times were still had.  Even when I was about to go home, I stumbled on this:

That's TakaHERO, Takuyaki, someone they know, and Wesley all playing with bamboo helicopters, which are just sticks with propellers on top.  You spin the sticks by rubbing your hands together and see how far or high you can make them go.  We had a good time with these things for about ten minutes, while Kayo, Misaki (pictured in the foreground), Kotaro, and a guy whose name I keep forgetting looked on.  It was one of the better parts about summer here.

This weekend is going to be busy. If everything works out, we'll be in Tokyo every day.  That's a first for us (but not for most Japanese people around here), so I am not sure how it'll turn out.  Doesn't help that there's another typhoon expected soon enough, but it doesn't seem like it'll be as strong as the one on Tuesday.

Also, Muvie, I know you're reading this, so know that I love you with all my heart.  I'm thinking of you.
