AHHHHHHH

There was a whole lot to scream about (see entry title) today.  But don't worry, that doesn't mean today was bad by any means.  There are all sorts of screams in the world, and some can even be good.

The first, however, was not.  Just as I was to leave for karaoke, it started raining obnoxiously hard.  As if to welcome us to all to the month of June, the clouds decided to dump their very essence on us today at the worst possible time.  Because of that, I had to walk to karaoke (the umbrella is hard to hold on a bike).  There's a Japanese word for situations like this: 大変 (taihen).  It's often translated as "exhausting", but a more fitting English equivalent would be "ughhhh", said with a pained or irritated expression.  It wasn't all bad, though, because I saw two enormous ducks having the time of their lives in someone's rice field.

When I got to the station, I waited a bit for Wesley, and shortly after TakaHERO and Takuyaki arrived.  Since we were going to wait for Yukiko before going to karaoke, we decided to go eat somewhere.  The place ended up being a Chinese restaurant.  I had some sort of eggplant thing that was very good despite my having forgotten its name.

Here is Wesley with TakaHERO and Takuyaki's arm.  These are nicknames, by the way.

This is Takuyaki and TakaHERO's face.

It turned out that Yukiko  wouldn't arrive until well after the two of them had to leave, so we all just went to karaoke anyway.  As usual, good times were had.

Then they had to go home.  Yukiko arrived about thirty minutes later, and to the certain confusion of the karaoke place's staff members, we came back and did an hour of karaoke with her.  This place is really cheap ($7 or so for two hours as opposed to the $21 in America), so that was fine.  The biggest discovery of the evening was that certain rooms have different song selections, and the room we got just happened to have DENKARE.
HERE'S A PICTURE I TOOK WHILE SINGING "ELDER THINGS".

And this is Yukiko giving me the song-selector-thing, because she didn't notice I was taking a picture until it was too late.

This may sound ridiculous to people that don't go to karaoke, but I have been waiting YEARS to sing the song pictured below.  Years.  To the point that I didn't really even need to read the words, because I've had them memorized forever.

After karaoke, Yukiko had to catch a train, so she left in a hurry.  We met Sophie as she was coming home from work, though, so we talked to her for a good while before Wesley had to go.  I walked Sophie most of the way to her apartment because I'm nice like that, but when we finally parted I looked at the time and it was about 11:36.  Today was Saturday, so that means I had fourteen minutes to get home by foot to watch Fate/Zero on TV.  I ran most of the way and took a few shortcuts, and I made it right as the opening theme started.

Also, by the way, I got up early this morning and around ten headed to Lawson to buy another event ticket. This time it's for After School (again), which is exciting because there won't be a fashion show to detract from the length of the group's performance.  Also, E-Young will do a guitar solo.  It's all very exciting. In addition to that, because I got there so early, my seat number is twenty-eight.  That means I will be the twenty-eighth person they let into the building, and will therefore be as close to the stage as I am allowed.  EXCITED AGAIN.

Now it's time for sleep, because while talking to Sophie we made plans for lunch sometime tomorrow.
