Long Day

Today was one of those days that's long, but you're not really tired or anything.  I really didn't do much; it just sort of felt like it lasted forever.  Today's primary activity was going to an art museum as Josai University.  In the car on the way there, we saw this.

It's a line of students that probably extends about 200 feet behind the camera.  The train just got there, so all the students were going to school.  Not sure why they were going at 10 A.M., but oh well.  College.

This is the museum.  It is among the most architecturally interesting buildings I've ever been in.

The exhibit was about optical illusions made with math, so this kind of stuff was there.  I enjoyed myself, even if it was a bit small for a museum exhibit.  My eyes REALLY hurt after it was over, though.

Fractalssssssss

They had a wood block printing station where you could try your hand at making prints the old-fashioned way.  I... I didn't do a good job.

It's supposed to look like the one on the right.  I don't even know what happened with the eyes.

LOOK A REAL JAPANESE HIGH SCHOOL.  This is actually the first one I've seen up close.  They show up so often in anime that it was pretty exciting.

Here's where we had lunch.  It was recommended to my host family by a friend.

This is some kind of tofu thing that they gave us before the main course.  It was good.

And here's the soup and the sushi we had for lunch.  My host family was not very impressed, but I didn't think it was that bad.  By the way, there's just one layer of sushi.  Under it is just rice.  And no, they don't eat sushi every day here, the same way we don't eat pizza every day.

These are paper towels, but what I was trying to get were the toy helicopters to the left that had Osama bin Laden's face with a gun target over it on the box.  You can kind of see it still if you look on the very left of the picture, but we started moving just as I took the picture.

I just like the sign for the animal hospital because PUPPIES AND KITTIES.

So anyway, after I got home I translated something into English for a test tomorrow, then I played some games.  Not much happening around here until I get my new debit card, I guess.
